Gazing skyward, a star-dusted landscape offered inspiration anew, for Stargazer, our latest jewellery collection, (the first in quite some time).
Isabella imagined golden amulets, inspired by the expansive night sky in one of the many far away deserts she’s explored of late – she dreamed of a talisman to remind her of that wide open space, wherever she roamed. The tiny moon and star pendants, alongside a tiny chained camel represent the journey over the destination, and the shapeshifting lunar hues of Australian sourced opals represent the abundance of the Southern Hemisphere’s very own Milky Way. We wanted to create individual Zodiac charms for each and every one of our angels – so we hand drew each design (complete with a personalised star sign reading by astrologist @Sundaylane, especially inscribed on card in each Zodiac necklace box). The Zodiac charm sits alongside another pendant inscribed with the longitude and latitude coordinates of our home town of Byron Bay, a secret reminder, that no matter how far you roam, ‘there’s no place like home’…
Each hand-made piece is made by Fair Trade Certified Artisans in India. We look forward to sharing imagery of our Artisans at work on our People and Planet pages shortly. Stay tuned.
Of course we couldn’t help but design a special Zodiac inspired Tee and some stardust silk slip dresses to go along with this collection, all limited edition and only available on our online and Byron stores. (And for those who are asking, at this stage we’ve only designed one tee, a Taurus one, but I’m trying to convince the team to get cracking and bring one in each star sign… comment below if you agree with me!!!!
Long time Spell muse, the beautiful Mimi Elashiry approached us with a vision of a campaign 8 months ago, and without too much of a backwards glance, we gave her full creative control of this shoot, knowing she’d make magic. Quite literally. And she did. Mimi and her photographer partner Nick Tsindos explored the Stargazer collection from a remote cave house in Sydney’s Blue Mountains, perched high above the ground.
